BSC Students Inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education

(Bluefield)—Twenty-five Bluefield State College students were inducted into the Phi Lambda chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, during a recent initiation ceremony at the College.
Inductees included: Lisa D. Arthur, Gretchen R. Bennett, Jessica Berry, Cassandra L. Burkett, Rachel Church, Amy Compton, Sabrina N. Cooper, Emily Cruse, Ashley A. Dale (Chapter Treasurer), Melanie A. Garner, Teresa Guill (Chapter President), Amber D. Hellems (Chapter Vice President), Sarah Hercey, Joseph P. Hodge, Cassandra G. Holliday, Sarah Holliday, Courtney Johnson, Rose A. Jones, Brenda McClung, Lesa A. Moore, Edith M. Morrow, Brandy L. Perry, Thomas Riggs, Tammi Steele, and Julie A. Weikle.
During an earlier visit to BSC, Kappa Delta Pi Executive Director Michael Wolfe noted, “Having an involved chapter of Kappa Delta Pi helps your teacher education program with accreditation while enabling teachers from your institution to become the best in the field.” Dr. Thomas Blevins, Dean/BSC Virtual College, Technology, and School of Education, is the College chapter’s advisor.
